The Colorado Restorative Justice Coordinating Council (RJ Council) was established into state law in 2007. Our mandate is to provide training, technical assistance and education related to restorative justice, to support the development of restorative justice programs and to serve as a repository of information on restorative justice in Colorado. The RJ Council is made up of 19 appointed board members representing a diverse group of allies (state government agencies, restorative justice practitioners and victim services) and two staff members. The RJ Council and Staff work with communities, and various state and local organizations to better understand how we can best meet the growing needs of the restorative justice community in Colorado.
