Melissa has been with EVRJP since 2008 first as a volunteer facilitator then as Case Manager and now as Manager and Executive Director. Since coming to the Manager/Executive Director position in 2013, the program has developed 4 new programs. Three of those: Girls Circle, Boys Council and Student Support and Accountability Circles are done in partnership with the Estes Park School District. Restorative Community Mediation was also formed to offer restorative services to all residents of the Estes Valley. Melissa is a Licensed Professional Counselor and trained mediator and was previously in private practice. She has been and continues to be quite involved in non-profit work. She currently serves as President of the board of Crossroads Ministry, a member of the Salud Foundation Board and is Treasurer of the Greenville College Board of Trustees (her alma mater). Melissa is also involved in the arts community performing with the Estes Park Oratorio Society, Fine Arts Guild and various other community productions. Melissa holds a BS in education from Greenville College and an MA in Counseling from Denver Seminary. She is married to Mark and together they have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. Melissa was appointed in 2016 succeeding Gabrielle Frye and Beverly Title as a representative of the Colorado Coalition of Restorative Justice Directors.
