J.R. Hall

Council Member

 J.R. Hall – Chairperson – Mr. Hall was appointed to the Colorado State Board of Parole by Governor Polis in 2022.  Mr. Hall is a decorated retired deputy sheriff with 36 years of experience.  During his tenure he had a steady increase in roles and responsibility, starting as a deputy in the jail and moving up to an undersheriff responsible for 395 personnel and up to 800 inmates.  Mr. Hall has a bachelor’s degree in social science from Colorado State University-Pueblo and a master’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix-Colorado Springs.  He graduated from the FBI National Academy in 1998 and has been an active member of the Joint Terrorism Task Force Executive Board since 2001 as well as many other Federal agency cooperative special operations.  Mr. Hall is committed to his community both at work and at home with service over himself in charity work. He has taught college level courses at three college campuses and for law enforcement agencies in Pueblo and Colorado Springs. His class topics included Criminal Profiling, Mass Casualty Terrorism and Incident Command, Security Planning and Development, Criminal Justice 100,200,300 and 400 and Response to the Suicide Bomber, Tactical Medical Response and the First Responder.
