Event Description

This virtual three day training equips you with the tools and strategies you need to set a foundation for restorative practices in your school, organization or other setting.  Sign up for one day ($199) or receive a discount when registering or all three ($425).  Scholarships available.

Day 1: 101 – An Intro to Restorative Practices in Schools

An introductory training designed to provide a baseline understanding of the pillars of RP, fundamental practitioner skills and insight on why it is needed to help transform school and community culture.

Day 2: 201 – Implementing Restorative Circles

With an emphasis on prevention and the development of RP language, we’ll learn to use restorative practices skills to develop collaborative norms, learn how and why to run proactive circles, how to use affective statements & reframing and how to address conflict in the moment. By implementing restorative practices in the everyday culture of an organization, conversation and problem solving become the norm and preventative in nature.

Day 3: 301 – Sustaining a Restorative School Culture

Focusing on the intervention aspect of restorative practices, especially when conflict arises, we’ll practice the skills required to address situations using an intentional facilitation process. We’ll discuss when a greater harm has been caused and addressing this harm requires a more intentional facilitation process and set the groundwork for understanding that process.
